After taking over the helm for the remaining thirteen games of the 2007-2008 season, Milne now enters his inaugural season as Head Coach/General Manager of the Canmore Eagles. Milne, a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Sports Management Degree, is no stranger to the Alberta Junior Hockey League. As a player, Milne won a league championship with the St.Albert Saints in the 1995-1996 season. He was also an Assistant Coach for the St.Albert/Spruce Grove Saints for three seasons. Milne, a “players coach”, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with a youthful perspective, is excited about the direction the Canmore Eagles are going. Andrew, along with his wife Erin and newborn son Easton, are looking forward to raising their family in the Bow Valley area.
“I would like to thank the Community, Volunteers, Fans, and Board of Directors for their continued support; without the combined effort of all these people we would not be able to succeed. Thank you to you all.”
Jay is excited to be entering his fourth season as an Assistant Coach for the Canmore Eagles. Jay’s continued commitment to the organization does not go unnoticed, and we thank him for that. As well as Jay’s commitment to the development of the Eagle hockey players, Jay also works for Investors Group out of Calgary. Jay will spend the majority of his time working with the defencemen, as well as promoting our players to the NCAA programs. The Eagles thank Jay for his devoted commitment to the team.
Kurtis is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Canmore Eagles. Kurtis, a product of the Banff Minor Hockey program, has spent the last five seasons with Bow Valley AA in Cochrane. Curtis will spend the majority of his time working with the large group of young players on the Eagles roster this season. Kurtis’s wife Meghan is also the sister of former Eagle player Stephen Margeson. Kurtis and Meghan live in Canmore with their two boys Owen and Stephen. The Eagles would like to thank Kurtis and his family for all their time and support.
In his 13th season with the Eagles as the Head Trainer, Paddy is the glue that keeps things together. Paddy’s continuous work ethic and commitment to making the players as comfortable as possible is a direct reflection of his character. The Eagles want to thank Paddy, as well as wife Kim, for all the help they provide. We would also like to wish them the best of luck in raising their young family, with sons Nicholas and newborn Nathan. All the best to the entire MacLure family.
“Kazi”, as he is known around the rink, is Paddy’s right hand man; He has also been with the Eagles for 13 seasons. The self-proclaimed ‘father figure’ to the players, not only provides equipment help, but also fatherly advise. Over the 13 seasons, as Kazi has seen a lot of players come and go, the one thing that remains constant is his passion for the Eagles. The Eagles organization would like to thank Bill and wife Gail for the ongoing support and extend them well wishes.
